However, you could contact the FCO Legalisation Office for formal legalisation of documents issued in the UK (including apostille). Documents must be signed by a UK solicitor or notary before they can be legalised. The solicitor or notary should confirm that the document is original.

Our Consular Section provides the following notarial services:

• preparing any certificate, declaration or document not otherwise provided for, ie not in standard form, both in English and Bulgarian
• verifying of a copy of a document/certified copy
• attesting a signature
• administering an oath
